The European Movement in Serbia (EMinS) held the premiere of the documentary film “7 Days That Changed the Century” on 12 November 2025 at the European Union House in Belgrade.
The film, created by author Boško Savković—member of the EMinS Executive Board and Co-Chair of the EU–Serbia Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee (JCC)—sheds light on seven dramatic days that preceded the outbreak of the Great War and forever changed the course of European and world history. Through authentic archival footage and testimonies, the film serves as a reminder of the cost of war, as well as the value of peace as one of Europe’s most significant achievements.
The film had its international premiere at the headquarters of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels in September this year. The Belgrade premiere was held as part of the Armistice Day commemoration, as a tribute to all victims of war and a reminder of the enduring responsibility to preserve peace, solidarity, and European unity.
Following the screening, author Boško Savković and EMinS Secretary General Dragana Đurica engaged with the audience in a discussion about the historical themes explored in the film and the messages it conveys for today—especially at a moment when Europe is once again reflecting on its ability to safeguard peace, dialogue, and shared values.
The event concluded in a relaxed atmosphere with informal conversation and reflections, underscoring that a culture of remembrance and open public dialogue remain essential for understanding the past and building a future grounded in peace and European unity.
