Public panel “Does the Western Balkans Need a Reset of Multilateral Cooperation?”

November 14, 2025

European Movement in Serbia has the honor to invite you to a panel discussion dedicated to the memory of Dr. Erhard Busek, titled: “Does the Western Balkans Need a Reset of Multilateral Cooperation?” This panel will take place at the Europe House (Zmaj Jovina 8, Belgrade), on Monday, 24 November 2025, 15:00–18:00h

At the turn of the 21st century, the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe laid the groundwork for rebuilding regional cooperation and trust. Dr. Erhard Busek, a distinguished Austrian statesman and the Pact’s longest-serving Coordinator, played a decisive role in shaping the institutions that evolved into today’s Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and numerous other regional mechanisms. Twenty-five years later, as Europe and the Western Balkans face global geopolitical, demographic, and technological transformations, the question arises: Does the region need a reset of cooperation and a renewed push towards European integration?

We invite you to join this discussion with prominent speakers who have shaped and continue to advance regional cooperation in Southeast Europe.
