Panel: “Half a Century after the Helsinki CSCE – The OSCE and European Security under New Challenges”

June 20, 2025

The Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia is pleased to invite you to the panel discussion “Half a Century after the Helsinki CSCE – The OSCE and European Security under New Challenges”, to be held on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, starting at 12:00 h at the Human Rights House in Belgrade (Kneza Miloša 4).

This event marks the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Helsinki Final Act (1975), a document that promoted détente, strengthened trust among states, and laid the foundation for the modern European security architecture. Today, following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the OSCE is once again at the center of discussions, facing new complex challenges to cooperation and security.

Among the speakers:

  • Goran Svilanović, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of FRY/SCG
  • Branka Latinović, former Ambassador to the MFA
  • Vladimir Bilandžić, former Adviser at the OSCE Misson to Serbia, Belgrade
  • Sonja Biserko, President of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights

Moderator: Duško Lopandić, President of the Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia

We would be delighted to welcome you and engage in a meaningful discussion on current security challenges, the “Spirit of Helsinki,” and the future of European cooperation.
