REMINDER: Invitation to the Public Debate

“Serbia’s European Hour – Lost Time or New Opportunity?”
Thursday, 18 September 2025 | 17:00–19:00 | Europe House, Zmaj Jovina 8, Belgrade

 

This is a kind reminder that the European Movement in Serbia has the pleasure of inviting You to the public debate “Serbia’s European Hour – Lost Time or New Opportunity?”, to be held on Thursday, 18 September 2025, from 17:00h at the Europe House in Belgrade (Zmaj Jovina 8).

 

The debate will bring together representatives of civil society, media, youth organizations as well as European and international partners and diplomatic representatives. Discussions will focus on the political nature of the EU enlargement process and the realistic prospects for Serbia’s membership in the current socio-political context and challenges, backsliding of rule of law and democracy, impact of external influences, citizens’ trust in the European project, as well as the essential question: the future of Europe and who will shape it in the years to come.

• Bojana Selaković, Coordinator, National Convention on the EU
• Nemanja Štiplija, Editor of European Western Balkans
• Katarina Bogićević, President of the Youth Forum of the European Movement in Serbia & JEF Serbia

 

Four students from our universities will also take the floor to share their perspectives and enrich the debate.
