The European Movement in Serbia, with the support of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), invites young people from Sandžak to apply for participation in the project “SPARK Sandžak (Supporting Peace, Activism, Rights and Knowledge).”
The project aims to strengthen the role of young people in Serbia’s democratic processes and to foster peacebuilding and tolerance in Sandžak and beyond. Throughout the project, more than 30 young participants from the Sandžak region will take part in three full-day workshops in Novi Pazar, where they will deepen their knowledge in active democracy, human rights, and international agendas, and strengthen practical skills in formulating their views into action, public advocacy, and participation in policy-making processes. The program focuses on the agendas Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) and Women, Peace and Security (WPS). The workshops will take place from mid-December 2025 to the end of March 2026.
The first workshop will be held in Novi Pazar on December 17th, 2025, from 09:00 to 15:00.
Through lectures by young experts, discussions, and practical exercises, participants will develop advocacy skills, practice expressing their views on societal challenges, and formulate recommendations aimed at improving democratic participation, as well as strengthening tolerance and mutual trust among citizens of Sandžak.
