Spotlight on the Rule of Law

October 6, 2025

The project “Spotlight on the Rule of Law” focuses on strengthening the role of young people in monitoring and advancing reforms in the field of the rule of law in Serbia, in line with European standards under Chapters 23 and 24. Its goal is to provide young people with knowledge, tools, and opportunities to become active participants in democratic processes and to contribute to greater transparency and accountability of institutions.

Through a dedicated educational program, workshops, and mentoring support, participants will develop analytical skills, prepare policy papers, and formulate recommendations for improving public policies in the areas of judiciary, fundamental rights, freedom, and security. The results will be compiled into a publication and presented to institutions and the public, thus fostering dialogue between youth, civil society, and decision-makers.

Special emphasis will be placed on an information campaign aimed at making complex topics understandable to citizens, in order to encourage a broader societal conversation about the importance of the rule of law. The project thereby addresses the challenges of low institutional trust, ineffective fight against corruption, and the need to engage young people in processes that shape the country’s future.

This project is implemented by the European Movement in Serbia, with the support of the program “Europe ASAP – Civil Society for Advancing Serbia’s Accession to the European Union.”
