Simone Veil, a Holocaust survivor and one of the most prominent European political figures of the 20th century, is remembered for her fight for human rights and equality. She holds a special place in European history as the first President of the European Parliament elected by direct vote, and as a symbol of a generation of women who built the European idea through institutions and social change.

Opening remarks at the panel will be delivered by Duško Lopandić, President of the International Relations Forum of the European Movement in Serbia, and Uroš Popadić, Project Manager at the European Movement in Serbia. The discussion will feature Ana Zdravković (OsnaŽene), Marija Radovanović (Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory), Milica Batričević (BeFem), and Milica Marković (Femmedia), and will be moderated by Katarina Bogićević, President of the Youth Forum of the European Movement in Serbia.

The discussion will be followed by refreshments and an opportunity for networking.

We invite representatives of civil society, institutions, and the media, young people, as well as all interested citizens, to join us.
