The project focuses on young people, with a strong emphasis on young women from Sandžak (Novi Pazar, Tutin, Sjenica, with participants included from Rožaje), addressing Youth, Peace and Security, democratic participation, human rights, anti-discrimination, intercultural dialogue, as well as public communication and advocacy skills for inclusive democracy in local communities.

The conference will present the project’s key findings and results, including insights from peacebuilding workshops and public dialogues, and will introduce the “Sandžak Youth Declaration” as the project’s final output, reflecting participants’ messages and recommendations for strengthening tolerance, inclusion, and meaningful youth and women’s participation in public life.

As part of the conference, a panel discussion will be held featuring the following speakers: the President of the Youth Forum of the European Movement in Serbia, a representative of the Embassy of Canada, and a representative of local civil society.

We invite young people, civil society actors, institutions, media, and all interested members of the public to join the discussion on practical steps to advance inclusion, rights, and peace in Sandžak, with youth and women taking a more visible role in democratic processes.
